Hello! My name is Brent Peppiatt and I am the proud owner and principal home inspector of Examina Inspections. I am licensed through Consumer Protection BC (CPBC License #85668), as well as a Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) through the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) and a Certified Mold Inspector (CMI) through the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants (IAC2).
Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, my journey led me to the beautiful west coast in 1997 to teach snowboarding in Whistler, BC. Over the years, I’ve had diverse experiences in food & beverage, construction, manufacturing, served as a commercial boat captain, worked in enterprise software and have the privilege of being a BCIT graduate. These varied roles have shaped me into a lifelong learner with a passion for assisting others and an unwavering attention to detail. Having owned several properties, I also know first hand what’s required to maintain and improve a variety of real estate including homes, condos, rentals and investment properties.
In 2012, my wife and I became part-time residents of the Sunshine Coast, and in 2018, we embarked on a quest to find the perfect community to raise our children. Selling our Vancouver condo, we found our dream home in Davis Bay, firmly planting our family roots in this extraordinary community.
Beyond my inspection work and continuous learning about building systems, you’ll often find me adventuring and exploring the wonders of the Sunshine Coast with my beloved wife and daughters. Whether we’re cooling off in Chapman Creek, hiking through our many forests, or simply relaxing at the beach, there’s always a new adventure awaiting us just around the corner.
